Mentor TennisSee is an after school tennis and tutoring program for high-risk youth in Nashville, Tennessee. Based at Vanderbilt University, Mentor TennisSee links tennis instruction with academic tutoring and life skill development for those children who would otherwise have no exposure to the game. The program primarily serves middle school students whose disadvantaged circumstances often preclude academic success. Through its strategic partnerships, Mentor TennisSee has developed a curriculum that facilitates athletic development, promotes scholastic achievement, and emphasizes core life skills.
